After completing my studies, and gaining a diploma in textile design, I set out a the long journey with many interruptions and along different paths that have brought me to where I am now.
It has not been a straight progression. There have been long periods where hand weaving was nothing more than just a loose thread, but I’ve always held onto that thread. Over the last four or five years that thread has become stronger and tighter, and I find myself now, not by accident but with the encouragement of friends and colleges, with my own studio and the knowledge that I am in the right place.
After my long odyssey I’ve settled in Amsterdam and have now lived here for the past 19 years. It is a city that I still love and that can still suprise and exite me. It continues to inspire, sometimes consciously – sometimes not.
With further encouragement to move farther along, I’ve now, with help from friends, set up this web site to make my work more widely available.
